I saw the lamp in a scene in Welcome to Mooseport - it is basically the focal point of the scene. He says, "You're giving this back, don't you remember when we...by this"
The O.C.
One of the bars on the show has a couple of lava lamps, one definitely a century, arranged around...like on the side tables next to the sofas and chairs where patrons are drinking...it makes me wince to think of them being bumped into! Also, I think this last episode has someone receiving one as a house-warming present. I missed the episode, but I hope it wasn't a knock-off!
Charmed
While channel surfing this morning, I paused at TNT, where the Charmed episode entitled, "Chris Crossed" was just beginning. What caught my eye was the opening scene, which pans to a bar. Behind the counter on an island, are six silver streaks (clear liquid, red lava), four of which are lit, and one silver wizard, blue liquid, unlit.
Forrest Gump
In one scene, Forrest's girlfriend is in the process of leaving a bad relationship with a nasty character. She reaches for something on a table and there we see a Consort lamp.
Smallville
In Cloe's school office, there's what looks like a purple glitter wizard on top of a file cabinet. Oh, and the lamp on the O.C. (in Trey's apartment) is definitely a midnight, orange with white lava...
Rockin Roller Coaster
Entering The ride at MGM Disney you enter an Aerosmith music studio. Multiple Lava brand motion lamps are present and operating.
The Rugrats
Chuckies dad gave him a Lava Brand motion lamp to Chuckie (as a nite light) that belonged to his dad when he was little.

In the movie Snowday, there is an Aladdin next to the girl's bed. It's on in the scene.

I saw it in the movie Hustle & Flow . When the guys were arguing in the studio, the girl comes in the room with a lava lamp and then it made peace between the guys. ALSO Added from Another LAVA Fan: I rented the movie last night and when things weren't going right for the main character D-Jay, his girlfriend brings in a Midnight Lava Lamp and them watching it definitely brought on the Flow of the music!

In one episode of Full House, when Jesse and Rebecca move into Danny's attic, Danny has a yard sale. In the yard sale scene, he is shown dusting off a vintage Century Lava Lite.
The Aristrocrats
In the movie the Aristrocrats. They're talking to the producer (or someone) and there is a lava brand motion lamp sitting on his desk.
The Island
There's a scene in the new movie "The Island" starring Ewan McGregor & Scarlett Johanson where they are talking to Steve Buscemi in his house and a Zebra Safari LAVA brand motion lamp bubbles away in various stages during the whole scene.
Comcast commercial
It's a quick shot of one of the Chicago Bulls players watching TV and along the wall are 4 LAVA brand motion lamps.
Superman II
In the Honeymoon suite at Niagra Falls, where Lois and Clark were discussing their "future". The bedposts were giant lava lamps!

Chris Stevens had one in his KBAR radio office, & used an old one of Maggies for his "Electic Art Show", one of the best of all these shows.

That 70's Show

While channel surfing, I happened upon a documentary on the TLC about Jonny Kennedy: 36-year-old Jonny Kennedy, had a terrible genetic condition called Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - which meant that his skin literally fell off at the slightest touch, leaving his body covered in agonizing sores and leading to a final fight against skin cancer. This was a very sad story, I could hardly watch it. He resided in London, England. In his room on his chest of drawers sat a silver 32oz. Lava Light. Jonny was frank about his feelings on his upcoming death and practical about the arrangements. The film featured moving interviews with his friends and family, including his mother Edna, who had been his life-long carer and faced the prospect of Jonny's death with disarming mixed feelings, torn between relief for Jonny and knowing that she would miss him desperately.

Dream Theater - Live Show Usage
On their 1997/98 "Touring Into Infinity" tour including festival shows with such diverse artists as Chuck Berry, Joe Cocker, Sheryl Crow, Deep Purple, Elton John, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Extreme, Page/Plant, Pantera, Paul Rodgers, Joe Satriani, Slayer, and Van Halen, progressive rock favorites Dream Theater used numerous 27" LAVA Grande Lamps as stage props, especially around keyboardist Derek Sherinian's keyboard riser, which he described as "a cross between a bordello and a hookah den". Unfortunately the LAVA Lamps have been left behind as the band has moved on to bigger and better tours and venues, but to many old-time fans just the mention of "LAVA Lamps" will bring a smile to their faces.

Insect Surfers dig Lava Lamps
California's Insect Surfers, one of the longest running contemporary instrumental surf bands (25+ years), have used lava ® brand motion lamps on stage since 1986. Lead guitarist Dave Arnson digs 'em!

There was a scene in Shawn of the Dead when this guy throws a LAVA ® Brand motion lamp on the ground and says well oopps.....
Shark Tale
In Shark Tale, Angie brings Oscar a Lava ® brand motion lamp, telling him the lamp is exactly what a bachelor pad needs. Oscar thanks her, and tells her he'll put her gift next to his "other" LAVA ® brand motion lamps, a gigantic one in his new apartment.
40 Year Old Virgin
In the movie 40 Year Old Virgin the bar that they go clubbing at has TONS of LAVA ® brand motion lamps all over it.

Nanny 911!
In Nanny 911 they had a family with three sets of twins - in the family room they had a pink LAVA ® brand motion accent glitter lamp and another LAVA ® brand accent motion lamp in the shot. Too bad it didn't help chill those children out! But the Nanny did get them to chill out after 1 week!
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
In the earlier episodes of "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" there are two LAVA ® brand motion lamps in her bedroom-one on either side of her bed.

On an episode of MTV cribs a famous rapper had a 38oz LAVA ® brand lamp lined up on one of his walls.
Modern Marvels
"Modern Marvels" on The History Channel did a show on 1960's technology. The first segment was about Lava ® brand lamps. They showed the actual production facility (it was cool seeing a huge vat of liquid wax and the lamps being filled like soda bottles) and a guest expert dissected a lamp to show how it works.
KoRn-Freak on a Leash
